AI Rewrite & Synonyms
Scriptorium includes a writing assistant powered by a language model that runs entirely on your computer. It can rephrase a clumsy sentence, tighten a bloated paragraph, or suggest synonyms for a word — and your manuscript never leaves your machine.
Installing the model
Section titled “Installing the model”- Select some text and click the Sparkles button in the editor toolbar (or go to Settings → AI Plugins).
- Click Install — the model is a one-time ~2 GB download, with a progress indicator.
- Once installed, the assistant is ready and works fully offline.
Rewriting a selection
